We will posting our blogs at 2009.wimbledon.org during the 2009 Wimbledon Championships, 22 June – 5 July.
I find it disappointing in the extreme that in all the comment on Murray’s win last night press, television and radio, there is no reference to the play and performance of Warwinka. This man played admirable tennis despite the cheers of 90% of the spectators at his every mistake, and showed a strength of character in that adversity, that should be the envy of his opponent.
Time was when a mistake on the court was greeted by the crowd with a silent gasp, but since the advent of this surly, growling anomaly Andy Murray,(as described elswhere over the week end)and his Mum, the adulation of the crowd at the mistakes of an opponent far outweigh the appreciation for a point well won.
PLEASE – who is the Buffalo Bill
lookalike who always sits in the same
spot on Centre Court. Has a beard and
wears a cowboy hat. And a All England Club lapel badge………..
We have two British teens visiting from Cambridge and we are hanging onto your every word! Great commentary! I am so disappointed NBC is not showing this terrific match live. Thank you Radio Wimbledon!

is the dress code slipping? i really dont like serena’s red undergarments & jewellery. i find it inappropriate for the like of wimbledon. whats with all the screaming/grunting that is going on? its awful! have you noticed that some players will walk off after the game & not wait for their opponent? how rude! come on andy! how great would it be to have a british winner at long last!!!
we need to keep the standards up!
The query (miles stuart) 2009.
Don’t know but he was there last year and also this year. Same place, just above and to the left of score board. Does not appear to have aged at all.
