BBC should make it possible for viewers outside the UK to watch the ceremony live on the net. As a devoted Belgian Clijsters fan I cried tears of frustration because I was not able to watch a single second because I happen to live in Sweden.
Why not make the internet users outside the UK pay for live streaming? I paid a Wimbledon pass before on the Wimbledon site to view matches. Why didn’t it work today?
I think it just sucked big.
By the way, I tried the Belgian live coverage on internet and also there the server was too busy buffering so I was unable to watch a split second.
Please, NEVER do this again to tennis fans!
BBBC made this one of the worst days of my life thanks to block us from watching this event.

Annelies, I do appreciate your frustration.

The BBC only had the right to stream the Centre Court Celebration online within the UK. To do otherwise would mean they would infringe on the rights of broadcasters elsewhere in the world were were transmitting the event in their own regions.

Unfortunately, the All England Club could not stream the event live on wimbledon.org.

A fantastic event – a real success! Sue Barker is a class act! The players played fantastically well and in the true spirit of the occasion.
Well done to Kim Cliisters who won over the hearts of the 20 autograph hunters who waited patiently in the freezing cold after the event for 90 minutes. What a shame the day didn’t end in ecstacy….Andre and Steffi evaded this small group of die-hard fans and took an alternative exit. About 18 tennis fans left SW19 broken-hearted at 8pm!!

A fantastic event! Wouldn’t it be brilliant if the All England Club could run other such events throughout the annual year aimed at young tennis entusiasts (ie under 20 years) to really promote youth tennis???!!!

I feel for Annelies. I am in the UK but missed Tim Henman winning at Wimbledon. What a wonderful occasion this must have been. How I hope those of us that missed this will get the opportunity to see it.
